Greg Peet is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, venture company investor, and corporate director. He has served as Chief Executive Officer or Chair of private and public technology businesses continuously for the last forty years. His current focus is on investment and business building in emerging technology businesses that address health and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n

Greg invested in Equicare (then Cogent Health) as investor and board member in 2007 and assumed the role as Board Chair soon afterward and is now the company\u2019s major shareholder. Through these years, Equicare has developed comprehensive software to manage the continuum of chronic care for cancer survivors with the recent addition of a suite of services for healthcare providers to efficiently obtain reimbursement for their services. Equicare is also delivering solutions to improve the speed and accuracy of data collection in oncology clinical trials, accelerating drug discovery and reducing the cost of cancer research.<\/p>\n

Greg is an investor and Board Chair at Axine Water Technologies, a venture business that is safeguarding the world\u2019s water supply by destroying organic micro-pollutants with a proprietary electro-chemical technology. Axine deploys turn-key systems to eliminate pharmaceutical ingredients, including antibiotics, in major drug manufacturing plants. Axine\u2019s technology is being recognized as the leading solution for the destruction of per and poly fluoride chemicals, called PFAS or \u201cForever Chemicals\u201d. Recently designated by the USA and European environment protection agencies as hazardous, PFAS molecules pose significant threat to human health that is leading to regulatory remediation mandates.<\/p>\n

Greg was previously Board Chair and CEO at ALI Technologies, which led the industry transformation of medical imaging from reading film to interpretation on computer and storage. Collaborating with Len Grenier (CTO), ALI\u2019s leadership team grew the business from a staff of 14 in 1993 to a public company with more than 400 employees and revenues exceeding $100 million, culminating with the sale of the business to McKesson Corp.<\/p>\n

Greg\u2019s leadership has been recognized as a member of the BC Technology Industry Association\u2019s Hall of Fame, E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in Western Canada, and Canadian angel investor of the year. His community service includes appointment to the BC Premier\u2019s Technology Council from 2002 to 2016, first as a member and then Chair. He also served as a governor of the University of British Columbia from 2012 to 2016, acting as Chair of the Finance committee from 2014. Greg is the founding donor and serves as Board Chair for a venture fund at the University of British Columbia with a mission to support entrepreneurship and the formation of student and faculty led business ventures.<\/p>\n

Greg was born and raised in Duncan, BC, earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree at the University of British Columbia in 1976 and started his business career at the Royal Bank of Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A long time entrepreneur, Len Grenier was a cofounder of ALI Technologies in 1986 and a Director for the early development of the company. He held the senior technical role from inception of the company through its acquisition in July 2002 by McKesson. Len\u2019s most recent role at ALI was Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer. As well, his responsibilities included Inbound Product Management and Regulatory Affairs. Mr. Grenier brings a wealth of experience in the development of medical software companies providing multi-facility integrated solutions in a regulated environment. Len assumed the role of President and CEO of Equicare in April 2006.<\/div>\n
